Things are really taking off here at Assaggio; from extending our hours, updating our dessert menu, getting over 100 wines back on our wine list, to finally reintroducing private dining options right in time for your holiday plans.
Speaking of holiday plans, have you made yours? Whether you are looking to gather with 14 to 100 friends, we will offer you and your guests a dining experience that makes you feel right at home. To schedule your private Assaggio dinner, email us at cj@assaggioseattle.com.
In addition to private dining, Assaggio will now be offering private dinners with Mauro. Sit down for a laugh-filled meal with your jovial host, Mauro. Mauro will begin your meal with a toast dedicated to your topic of choice. He will then eat, talk, and engage with your group as if you were at his home for dinner. Mauro is excited to connect with his customers in a more intimate environment where he can focus just on you, his friends.
Back to those holiday plans… have you been counting down to the legendary Assaggio Christmas party, the “12 Days of Christmas” Sing-along event?! If not, you should start now because on December 16th Assaggio will turn into a winter wonderland full of filling food, rich wines, loud voices, and louder laughter. Welcome to the time warp where you, our loyal patrons, have not heard from us in a blog format since the before times, the times before Covid-19. Therefore, we have decided to update you all and perhaps continue updating you in the format of diary entries. Why diary entries you may be asking? Well, the world is in a time of transition and Assaggio is no different. In the aftermath of Covid-19 Mauro has realized that it is time for the next generation to do the grunt work while he oversees and enjoys a semi-retirement. Now, before you panic, this does not mean that Assaggio will not remain Assaggio. In fact, Mauro is passing the torch to non-other than Francesca, his beautiful and talented daughter. This, The Assaggio Diaries’, is her take on the more traditional blog.
Under Francesca, Assaggio not only survived the pandemic but, we came out the other side swinging. While Francesca has ideas to make the restaurant her own, she will always want to keep the soul and passion of Mauro flowing through the restaurant. 9 years ago Francesca got her start plating desserts at Assaggio. Some may have called her a Tiramisu artist now, 9 years later you can find her welcoming you in at the front door, or running things in the back office. With the support of her dedicated staff, Assaggio Ristorante is looking forward to 28+ more years in business.

MAURO IS COMING TO TOWN!

Assaggio truly glows this time of year and we cannot wait for you to come to celebrate all that the Holidays bring! From Gran Sogno becoming available, to planning our annual 12 Days of Christmas sing-along event, to spending time with our families, to balancing large group holiday dinners, the Assaggio and Golmarvi family have been very busy. And we couldn’t be happier! Maybe this time of year makes us sentimental but, we wanted to take a pause and thank each and every one of our customers who through their support have allowed us to keep doing what we love… serving great people exceptional food.
In just a few hours Assaggio will be celebrating the holidays, true to our roots, with our vibrant sing-along event 12 Days of Christmas. If you haven’t made reservations, have no fear because we added a second day on 12/17 so, email francesca@assaggioseattle.com to make your reservation now.
Singing isn’t the only way we are celebrating the holidays, in fact, Assaggio will be closing January 1-6th reopening on January 7th at 5:00 pm. While we want to provide you with delicious food every day, it is important to us that we take care of our staff. And after working so hard night after night we feel they deserve some time to spend time with those they love.
